WNDR3700 Extreme Jitter

Hi guys.

I'm having issues with my WNDR3700 v1 and I was hoping you guys could help me diagnose this unit as faulty. What's happening is I'm getting perfectly fine performance with stock firmware, Gargoyle or DD-WRT but only for the first few hours after a reboot. The throughput stays relatively high but my ping and most importantly my jitter goes through the roof. Here's my pingtest 16 hours after my last reboot:

Then here's my pingtest 6 minutes later directly connected to the modem:

As you can see, a slight difference. Now I don't think this problem is Gargoyle's fault, but I'm hoping you guys can verify I probably am not missing a setting or something and I can write this router off as faulty.

How are you doing your tests and/or what kind of internet usage
are you doing with your router?

Is this mostly wireless connections?

Are you testing only WIRED connections to the router?

More info is needed on your config and or test process.

Thanks for the reply.

During the tests I am absolutely sure there is no other internet usage in the background.

This is only on wired connections.

I recommend you connect your PC directly to the modem and wait. I suspect in the appropriate amount of time you will see the same behavior even if the router is not in the system.
