How to Use WAN port with Another Router

I have gargoyle on a WNDR3800 router I have set up to do bandwidth monitoring. Only problem is I don't an ADSL modem, I have another router which is an all in one router and modem.

Now since the bandwidth monitoring only works on the WAN port, can I set it up so that the WAN port talks to the all in one modem?

I have tried the wired DHCP and static IP settings on the WAN port with no luck. Any suggestions on how I can proceed would be much appreciated.

thanks

Can you set your ADSL router combo modem to operate in bridge mode?

Yes I can. I put it into "Bridged Mode Only" and that sorted it out, thanks.

Just out of interest, what is "RFC2684 Routed" mode?
