FonFlash requires that redboot be active before it will work. Once you can access redboot, FonFlash can be used to install the 3rd party firmware of your choice (not just Gargoyle).

Check that topic in the DD-WRT forum

Looks like the new Fonera 2.0's are RaLink chipset based.

Gargoyle/Open-WRT is Atheros chipset and Broadcom chipset
based code

DD-WRT is PRIMARILY Atheros & Broadcom, but it has some
limited support for RaLink like the Buffalo WHR-G300N
and maybe 1 or 2 other devices.

So - looks like the Fonera 2.0 will be quite a while before any
type of support is available via dd-wrt, open-wrt/gargoyle,
or any other 3rd party firmware.

My Bad! Check that page.

I didn't realize there are 2 La Fonera 2.0's coming out

La Fonera 2.0 and La Fonera 2.0n

The 2.0 looks like its atheros chipset based

La Fonera 2.0n with Wireless-N capability will be RaLink chipset.

Currently looks like the La Fonera 2.0, the non-wireless-N
is still waiting to be hacked successfully because redboot is
locked and yes, it is still Atheros based chipset.

Until redboot is unlocked, Fon Flash won't work,
nor can you get in via redboot to port 9000 like you could
on the earlier Foneras.

As popular as the Fon's are, am sure people are working on this
but you'll just have to have patience, it'll take some time.

Reading on the DD-WRT forums - looks like you may be able to
hack it and flash a current version of the Fonera DD-WRT
firmware, or possibly even Gargoyle Atheros version.

Only thing I see though is that there is NO USB support
currently, that has to be developed as of yet.

So, even once you get Redboot enabled and can flash another
firmware version on it, it'll be just like one of the older
Fonera's - won't get to use the good stuff.
