After 12 consecutive hours I spent on de-bricking WRT54GL, I got such gentle impression that I may need kinda help.

I loaded .bin image on WRT54GL and... I was happy until I realized that there in no chance to show "backup/restore" and "update firmware" options in menu. Simply, my web browsers does not show these pages. More over, I cannot either ftp or tftp my router.

Any suggestions before I'll jtag'em (which I really hate)?

It's really weird that the pages don't show up. There have been a few (old) versions where the functionality was broken, but I've never heard of the sections not showing up at all.

You can ssh into the router and use mtd to write the firmware. I explain how to do this here

I used WinSCP and SSH and got my brick back to live. Many thanks for help.
