Gargoyle obtain different DHCP WAN IP Adress than TP-LINK FW

Hello
I have read this forum and tried to change TP-LINK original firmware: 3.13.4 Build 110429 Rel.36959n Hardware version: 1.8 to: gargoyle_1.4.6-ar71xx-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-factory.bin on my TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND.
After update I have obtained completely different WAN IP Adress on Gargoyle then I have obtained 5 minutes earlier in TP-LINK FW and can't connect to Internet.
I revert back original firmware: wr1043nv1_en_3_9_17-sysupgrade.zip from:
http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/dok ... l-wr1043nd and I update to: gargoyle_1.5.3-ar71xx-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-factory.bin. I obtained the same different DHCP WAN IP Adress as with Gargoyle 1.4.6. Also no internet connection.
Once more time I revert to TP-LINK FW to give question about this strange situation here.
Any ideas?

Thanks for fast reply.
As You mantioned I compared Gargoyle 1.4.6 Status Overview page with TP-LINK FW Status Page and I find strange thing...
Gargoyle set to DHCP Wired WAN connection set the same WAN MAC Adress as LAN & Wireless MAC Adress. When I set Use Custom MAC Adress from XX:XX:XX:XX:40 to XX:XX:XX:XX:41 (same as in TP-LINK status) and Renew Lease Now I get same IP WAN Adress and other parameters as in TP-LINK FW.
So. Is that correct that I set this WAN MAC manually? Do I have to make different LAN & Wireless MAC adresses? Why TP-LINK FW obtaines MAC adress automatically and Gaeroyle have to get this MAC Adress manually? What if this WAN MAC adress will change by my internet operator? I will have to change FW to TP-LINK FW to get current WAN MAC Adress!?
Another strange thing is that I have my WAN Gateway IP on Connection >> Wake On LAN list as (unknown) Host with MAC adress. Should It be there?

Hi
Thanks for fast reply. I'm not at home so I will give You screens when I will back home this evening.
I will give You screens from:
1/ Status >> Overview
2/ ??? - What elese should I give You?
Now I can give You Status Panel fron Original TP-LINK FW:

As I mentioned in earlier post LAN and WAN MAC Adress in automatic configuration of TP-LINK FW are different. LAN end number is 40 and WAN is 41. In automatic Gargolye configuration bouth MAC adresses are the same and I suppose that's affect automatic DHCP IP configuration of WAN setiings. Gargoyle with same WAN & LAN MAC Adresses set WAN IP begin as 17X(172 I can't remember exactly). With that WAN IP I can't access Internet only Gargoyle Router Panel.
My Network Operator is Local Internet Operator. I asked Him how to configure WAN to do this correct and He suggested DHCP Wired option. On TP-LINK FW it works perfectly without any manual ingerention in WAN setiings. Only what I have to do was plug in WAN cable into router WAN port. I use TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND with Gargolye 1.4.6 stable wersion. Clients PC are two laptops with Windows7 and Linux Ubuntu 11.10 onboard. Gargoyle is set up as Gateway in Connection panel, Connect VIA: DHCP (Wired).
Any other options On Gargoyle are set exactly the same as in TP-LINK FW but I see that Gargoyle configures some WAN settings automatically different than TP-LINK original Firmware.

you still have told us how you connect to the internet
What is your upstrem equipment?
Who is your iSP?
Something is very very strange with your DNS servers
You have 3
192.168.1.82
194.204.159.1
194.204.152.34
???
I suspect if you manually put a DNS IP address on your client PC it will work?

Looks like you are using a Public IP address on a private IP device?

The last two are at least Polish DNS servers.
The upper one, should not be used, if you use the default local subnet (except if 192.168.1.82 is a private DNS server on your private network).
I have had setup four DNS servers, the two google DNS servers and the two OpenDNS servers. Now I am just using google DNS chosen from the gargoyle DNS dropdownbox.
