DYNDNS not updating correctly?

I am not sure what is causing this atm.
I have a dyndns standard account that lets me map my domain to my dynamic address.
Before I was using the router to update this I was using the PC tool they supply. I now have the router doing it directly.
Note this used to work with both my pc version and my old router. It also supported dyndnss.
Now here's the current issue.
On the Status screen for gargoyle I see a different WAN IP then what the tool on the desktop reports. I have done into the router and said update now and then checked it on the dyndns account page.
Both the router and the desktop are setting the Ip to an address different then what gargoyle says is the wan IP.
Note the different address being uploaded by the pc and the router are both wrong. The wan ip is the one I can use to remote desktop in and to remote to gargoyle!
I can't find a log file or antying that will tell me what gargoyle sends but I did try a force update and it made no difference. The dyndns still shows the wrong one (it matches what the tool thinks too)
Totally confused here. Any ideas?
