WhiteList issue

I updated to the 1.0 (gargoyle_1.0.0-wrt54g-squashfs.bin) release from the beta (gargoyle_1.0.0_beta5-wrt54g-squashfs.bin) and found that the whitelists are not working for some reason. I've tried both by IP and by domain and cannot get sites like microsoft or even this one to connect while the primary rule of deny all is in effect. Though for some reason at one point a more specific microsoft page did work (http://www.microsoft.com/en/us/default.aspx) when just microsoft.com would not. Though after a few more attempts of adjusting the settings even it no longer works.
