3g dongle not working

I've just installed Gargoyle 1.5.1 on my Netgear 3700v2, all seems OK except none of my 3g dongles work.

I'm in australia and I've tested with:

Telstra, Optus and Vodafone who are the main 3 providers.

I've noticed there is no field for the dial out trigger which is:

*99#

for all the above providers.

Any ideas?

I have no idea what the following means,

however I have attached screenshots of an Asus N16 where 3g works and the Gargoyle where it doesn't.

I suspect you going down the wrong track with "*99#"

I understand that is already built into the code

I suspect your problem is "/dev/ttyUSB0"

Thanks but I'm still having no luck, I've tried the following:

Telstra, ZTE MF668, USB2.

Crazy Johns (Vodafone), Huawei E1762, USB0.

I even tried the ZTE USB0 through USB4, no go.

I've attached screenshots.

you are going to have to SSH into your router

use putty

I've tried to login to putty but it comes up with cryptic login as?

As admin? as the Scarlet Pimpernel?

Gargoyle doesn't ask for username, only password?

Then asks for password but doesn't let you type anything?

I just want my usb dongle to work :(

Why is it so difficult?

welcome to open source, we are all testers

username = root
password = (same as your gargoyle router login)
