Unusual quota usage bug

Hi Eric

I have discovered an unusual quota usage bug. I have quotas assigned to 6 static IP addresses and I find that bandwidth usage on one IP address increments usage on another IP address (with no traffic).

I have a PC that has never been turned on since I upgraded to Gargoyle 1.0.0 and has now "used" a combined upload/download quota of 100MB! The Status -> Bandwidth Usage graphs show no activity for this IP and the DHCP leases also show that this IP has not been used. The total reported usage also exceeds that reported by my ISP!

Please let me know what additional info you need to try and debug this problem.

Oops... this bug, at least, I can confirm. As far as I can tell it should only affect combined quotas set for static ips -- does that agree with what you are seeing?

The solution is pretty simple, and I've already uploaded new firmware (1.0.1) which should fix this issue.

Hi Eric,

I am also having this issue....will uplaod the load 1.0.1 tonight and test.

In regards to your post "As far as I can tell it should only affect combined quotas set for static ips -- does that agree with what you are seeing?" this is affecting DHCP assigned IP's not static on my LAN, not sure if this information helps.

Kind regards

Peter

Hi Eric

Thanks - it looks like this is now fixed in 1.0.1.
