I have the DIR-601 Version A1 running dd-wrt, and I know that some users have succesfuly updated this router with Gargoyle , questions is how? I tried the the file for DIR-600a1 but it failed, which file should I be using?

Anyone have the answer to this? looking to flash straight from dd-wrt to gargoyle on this very same router. Heard it could be done from the web-gui but nothing has worked thanks. If I don't hear back I guess I'll just reflash back to stock and then flash gargoyle

Follow that link - it works just fine.

I have a DIR-601 Rev A1 and its working just great.

Use 1.4.5 though - don't bother with 1.5.2

You get no benefits and TOR won't work on the DIR-601 anyway.

Flash via the DIR-601 emergency mode

And you HAVE to use that Ultra simple web browser to upgrade

Use the "factory" file for this initial flash

gargoyle_1.4.5-ar71xx-dir-600-a1-squashfs-factory.bin

The sysupgrade file will be used for any future upgrades
via the Gargoyle web GUI
