Suggestion: Login Screen Message

I've set up Gargoyle at three locations now - it works really well.
My request: Is is possible to add an editable message to the Login screen?
I want to be able to have an instruction message on the login page - ie a heading like "Information" with text (editable in the system configuration) like "See Bob in Room 7 to get your computer connected to the internet. The cost is $10 per month".
I'm looking at doing this by hand (by changing the "Current Date & Time" info), but it would be far easier (for me) if this was built-in!
