For the tplink tl-wr1043n-v5 - 1.13.x -> 1.14.0
sysupgrade didn't work even without keeping settings
until Restore Default Configuration then sysupgrade ok.

I had not noticed that ipq40xx was omitted from the downloads page, however the images are on the server and available for download.
I’ll ping Eric and see if that’s easy enough to fix.
Yes they are on the Server and folders are not browsable
I found the image I wanted to try for the linksys mr8300 :

Thank you

Hello, Feel grateful to see the project still going strong. Just would like to report that I managed to flash and set up Xiaomi Miwifi Mini with success. On top of a couple of minor glitches, I'd love to see guest wifi users being allocated a different subnet for enhanced security and usability. Pls keep up the good work. Cheers

No luck with preserving settings on my Archer C7 v4. The wireless settings didn't show any 5GHz options, and when I switched it from AP+WDS to Access point, something in the JS glitched such that every available field became visible, making it impossible to make any further changes without filling out every single required field. Thankfully, it worked fine after resetting to defaults.

It doesn't appear compatible with my WDR4300 v1.3, even with default settings. It wouldn't activate the wireless interfaces and seemed to only briefly activate DHCP on ethernet before becoming unresponsive, and I ended up having to use TFTP to revert to 1.13.

Glad to see my service discovery fix made it in, though!
Has anyone successfully upgraded TP-LINK TL-WDR4300 (or TL-WDR3600) to v1.14 without problems? Working fine? Thanks for reporting!

I was short on time and couldn't yet (it is on my parent's house). By the way, this can be of interest (BUG on v1.13): viewtopic.php?p=65440#p65440

Hi Lantis, is this version 1.14 using latest stable release openwrt 22.03.5 or just version 22.03?

Per my reply in the other thread, this is not a bug.
1.14 will behave the exact same way as it is required to.

22.03.5 for the official release. We will bump it further as part of development of course.

How do you compare to version 1.13, in terms of performance and stability?

Upgrade questions:

1. I am have an older TP-Link router running 1.12.0 that should really upgrade. Do I need to 1.13 and then 1.14 as separate upgrades, or is it safe just to apply 1.14

2. For this 2 level upgrade, is it safe to keep configs or do i need to configure from scratch?

thanks!

Yes you can go straight there.
No you can’t keep config, even if you do it as 2 jumps.

For me v1.14 seems a bit more taxing on the hardware. As long as I have QoS enable for both up and down streams, it works.
