Yep just tested the built environment.
How to do this step: "customise it to include the necessary drivers" ?
For example how to include kmod-ath5k ??

Hello!
I successfully booted the compiled image! Nice feeling to boot a device with an OS that you have compiled yourself!

Thank you very very much for your invaluable assistance!!

Happy new year!

Is there support in gargoyle for multiple wlan cards?

I only see first in the web interface.

You will need iwinfo, mac80211, i'm not sure of the others.

* sets them to be built-in. M sets them to be built as modules, but they are not installed by default (and can be installed later).

Have you checked whether your wifi device is now being detected at boot? Try looking for messages in logread or dmesg after boot.

The wifi card is recognized and shown on web interface and dmesg. However it is not functional. Scan for networks does not show anything, It cannot be associated with any AP and also it cannot act as an AP.

Any suggestions?

I will give the board access to wired internet and try to install wireless tools and packages.

Not really sorry.
Can you show the output of "iw phy0 info"?

What is the wireless card you're trying to use? Model number etc. Maybe there is more needed.

Looks fine. Can you provide the build config file and what the model of the wifi card is please?

It seems like the settings I make are not saved.
For example I tried to make the ethernet to get IP through DHCP but it keeps booting with the IP I had set manually.

Or I enable AP mode and it is never enabled.

Wifi cards can scan using console, they just not show anything in web interface.

What is the file name of the image you’re flashing?
When you say it won’t scan from the UI, can you provide more details on the steps taken and what you’re seeing vs what you expect to see?
