OS X Lion won't connect - claims invalid WPA2 password

My brother just bought a new Macbook Pro and it won't connect to my WRT54GL running Gargoyle 1.2.1. I just upgraded my router to 1.2.5 so I'll see if this fixes it but I doubt it will. It also won't connect to my Verizon FIOS Actiontec router using WPA2 so it might not just be Gargoyle. Has anyone else experienced issue with OS X and Gargoyle. This has been really frustrating. Apple claims their stuff "just works". Yeah right.

Now he is able to connect to the Verizon router, but he still can't connect to the WRT54GL running Gargoyle. My password is the maximum length allowed, any idea if this might be causing issues? I tried pinning down the issue with logread, but it didn't give me anything useful. Anyone have any debugging tips?
