This has happened a couple of times. An IP address of 7.0.128.1 shows up in the Connected Hosts page under Hosts With Active Connections and then quickly disappears.

It is usually only with a UDP connection if I remember correctly, but it's weirding me out. I've tried pinging it and it times out.
network-tools.com shows:

down at the bottom...

wtf? Has anyone else come across anything like this? Is there a way to block these connections?

99.99% sure it's harmless, but if you're really concerned, download PeerGuardian and activate a government blocker list.

Why is Firefox contacting the Department of Defense through an unknown plugin?
Why in the hell did the DoD ping me after signing on to DU?
Department of Defense may be trying to spy on you.

Giving this a bump. I sort of forgot about it, and recently upgraded to 1.4.6, and have done a little more research.

On the Connection List page under Current Connections, an entry containing the IP address shows up as:
[Proto] udp
[WAN Host / LAN Host] 7.0.128.1:67 / 255.255.255.255:68
[Bytes Up/Down] 0.000 KBytes / 231.827 KBytes

Could this be some kind of rogue DHCP server or something?
