Determine which firmware produced backup file

Post by guyso »

Hi.

I have made a backup of my settings using 'Backup Current Configuration'. After this I had to reload the firmware in the router a few times. Now the router is running OK I am not sure if the backup file is based on the same version of firmware I have loaded. I have looked at the contents of the backup file and can not make any sense of it.

Is there anyway to determine the version of firmware which made a backup file, either by looking at the file name or somehow looking into the file contents.

Thank you

If you look at the file /etc/config/gargoyle you may find a system version in there.
