Can't access/login to configuration via web interface.

Hi folks,
I am currently unable to access the Gargoyle configuration settings via the web interface.

Specifically the login page takes a long time to load (if at all) and then it doesn't load completely but gives a "Please Wait While Settings Are Applied" message, a spinning whirly-ding, and a few misplaced text boxes exactly as described here: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... ?f=6&t=767

I have tried Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox - the result is the same in all. I tried clearing the cache in all three too and it didn't work.

I changed a setting in Gargoyle right before this happened but I don't remember what exactly  .

Any other suggestions or advice?

Is my only option a reinstall of Gargoyle?

To be honest I had someone else flash my router with Gargoyle because I didn't want to brick it and although I just figured out how to access the router/Gargoyle through Putty I'm not sure how to do the rest of what is needed according to the install instructions  .

My router is a WZR R5 G54 so I'm not sure 100% which install instructions apply either.

Damian.

Connect your PC to your gargoyle router's LAN port using and Ethernet cable only.

reboot both devices

after they both booted from command line type

Code: Select all

ipconfig /all
post your results

my guess is -

type

http://192.168.1.254

in you web browser

assuming

Code: Select all

internet -- DSL router -- Gargoyle -- PC
-- = cable

Hi ispyisail, thanks for your help.
Sorry I've been really busy. I tried using http://192.168.1.254/ but that just takes me to the modem configuration pages and not the router/Gargoyle configuration pages. :(
