G'Day
Ive read through the messages about Quotas and it sounds like Gargoyle may suit me fine. We are on a Touring Cycling Mailing List and regularly host travelling cyclists.....but they love to use the WiFi we provide to update "everything" while they can and we end up exceeding the quota set by out ISP.
As far as setting up Quotas - can I set up a 2nd Guest Network..??
Rather than specifying IP addresses..???
That is can I set it up so they log on to a WiFi network called "Guest" while we log on to a separate one called "Home", both of which have different quotas, etc. Would be hard to specify Mac addresses or even IP Addresses as they would need to be changed for every visitor.

I am not sure if you want to do this with 1 router.
It would be a HUGE headache.

Easiest solution might be to get a 2nd router behind the first.

Your second router could have its own SSID and Quota.

That way - you only have to manage that one for guests.

Since its also behind your primary router - its much more difficult
for users to use Torrents or other bandwidth hogging items
behind that router - yet another bonus.

And you can also have it on its own subnet, so that they can't get
into your primary network - one more bonus.
