Hi. This is a Atheros AR7240 chip with 32 MB Ram. Would it be possible to run Gargoyle on it? I'm trying to avoid DD-WRT and the stock firmware as they have limitations.

Those are the current officially supported routers from Buffalo

Once OpenWRT supports a router, Gargoyle will usually
support it within the next 1 or 2 builds, depending when Eric
refreshes and updates to the current OpenWRT builds.

Might find more info in the OpenWRT forums on whether or not
this is a work-in-progress for the WHR-HP-G300N

Anyone have any more ideas about getting OpenWRT or Gargoyle running on this?

I now have OpenWrt running on this router using a trunk build and now just need to figure out how to install Gargoyle on it. Any ideas?

Gargoyle only works with official releases from OpenWRT (Backfire)

Trunk would require a LOT of editing of the source as quite a few
things have changed.

If you need to use OpenWRT Trunk - you're stuck with OpenWRT for now

This router has been in the openwrt trunk since (at least) January does that mean it should work with the latest Gargoyle?

It's reported as supported by the trunk versions which means
newer than Attitude Adjustment 12.09 official / Gargoyle 1.5.10

Don't flash Gargoyle on these yet - need to wait a bit

I used to have a WHR-HP-G300N but put it in use in a business office

It's running one of the trunk builds of Barrier Breaker

This is a fantastic router for range/signal/multiple wireless clients

Not supported by Gargoyle 1.5.10 though.
