1.3.13 DIR-300 config saving failure

Hi all
I've just installed 1.3.13 on my DIR-300 and have found you can't save anything
You change the default password and configuration and then save but as soon as you reboot the router nothing has saved
This this is the error on the CLI through serial
root@Gargoyle:/# jffs2: Too few erase blocks (4)

1.3.10 has the same problems

1.3.5 works successfully

I've isolated the problem and it starts at 1.3.10
After a fresh install this is the end of the boot sequence of
1.3.9

jffs2_build_filesystem(): unlocking the mtd device... done.
jffs2_build_filesystem(): erasing all blocks after the end marker... done.
mini_fo: using base directory: /

This the end of of
1.3.10

Another note is the GUI is dog slow with 1.3.x

I've been testing 1.2.5 on the DIR-300 and i've found the GUI to be faster.
any chance of backporting the new 1.3.x features to 1.2.x

In relationship to GUI speed........ I've just flashed a MR3201a with 1.3.13 and the GUI speed is real fast? Who knows why the TP-Link TL-WN1043ND is so slow at 400Mhz CPU?

I'm having the same problem with another AR231 Atheros Bountiful wifi router.
Will not save settings in 1.3.16 1.3.15 .....1.3.9 works in 1.2.5
maybe I will try 1.3.5

I'm having the same problem with another AR231 Atheros Bountiful wifi router.
yep, from my understanding its the same router
I suspect the problem is with backfire and not gargoyle

Confirmed still broken in 1.5.1
