I have not yet had a chance to backup and upgrade my router to 1.12 as yet and am wondering, does the new version of Gargoyle have the WDS functionality that (I think?) is now part of OpenWRT as well?

In "Wireless Mode", only the AP+WDS option is selected. There is no choice for the client.

Just manually edit the /etc/config/wireless file and add a line to the "config wifi-iface..." section: and restart.
