I tried to update from 1.10 to 1.12 with gargoyle_1.12.0-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin under "update firmware" admin panel.

When i clicked 'upgrade now' i received a blank javascript alert, i think i clicked yes. I don't remember have seen any special lights activity, but at some I disconnected the psu by mistake.

Now that i turn it on, its rebooting a a predictable ~12 seconds. Is there anything to do?

How am i going to manage the rebooting aspect?

Does it also reboot when not connected to the WAN?

If not, this might explain what's going on.

Yes, only a serial cable will help here.

Ok, I'll get one, it'll take a couple of weeks to arrive. But then, what will i do with it? Flashing / Recovery using the serial console?
How i am going to work my way out if its rebooting every 12 seconds.

The usb-ttl just arrived, oddly enough, i recovered it through TFTP using this guide.

Now that i think, i never got to use the native firmware. Probably will continue with gargoyle due to familiarity
