Is the STA Manager available for my TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2? The option is there on my Archer C7 but not the 1043.

It is only installed by default on devices which have sufficient space. If it is not there, you should be able to install it as a plugin (you may need a USB stick inserted to get enough space).
