dlink dir-300 updating How?

Hi How do you update the firmware in your dir-300
I seem to have to do it by hand all the time
vmlinux.17
how long does it take?
does it stall for you using web update?
what firmware are you using?
fon flash does it work at all?
I have to downgrade and Im finding it a bit of a challenge
3.313 to 3.312 because of settings not saved...
whats the best way that works?
