Have you updated your build environment?
Either way, I can fix this but I need a bit of time to test. I can post the patch if you want to test in parallel.

You must have gawk 5 which requires a patch to enable the build.
If it's a new machine, you're probably running a pretty recent OS. It makes sense.

Just need to make sure the patch fixes the issue but doesn't break the build.

I'm testing it now, but this should be sufficient.

Sorry, I'm not as skilled as I would like

Is there an easy way to apply your patch?

Can you apply it to master then I can just git pull?

Hello! I tried to compile firmware 1.13 on Windows 10 with the Windows subsystem for Linux. Linux version - Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. At the end of the compilation, I got an error. Tell me, please, what could be the problem?

https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/issues ... -628765763
Fault with WSL.

Read the whole thread if you like. Suggestions appear to be:
- a few dodgy workarounds
- downgrade libc to 2.30
- wait for the patch to WSL (2 weeks estimated)
- try WSL2 if it's available to you
- use Ubuntu 18.04 not 20.04

Unfortunately not something we can assist you with.
