Transparent proxy to squid on separate device on network

Hi folks,
I've been trying to figure out if it is possible (or how to configure) a setup such that I can force certain traffic through a squid proxy server, which is not running on my Gargoyle router.
I imagine this should be possible using iptable rules, but so far have not been successful.
