Hi can anyone tell me how to disable the fire wall ?
A forum to discuss the Gargoyle web interface for Openwrt
https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/
im trying to stream with obs in twitch but it seems the router's fire wall or something else from the router is blocking the connection ?Lantis wrote:What are you trying to achieve by doing so?
This information may help someone give you specific instructions.
modem ? im with router right now i dont have a modem ?Lantis wrote:Its an outbound connection, so I would not have thought so.
What does your network look like? The fastest test would be to plug directly into the modem to eliminate Gargoyle.
If you want to disable the firewall, the easiest method is to set the connection mode to disabled in the Connection->Basic screen.
extremely unlikely to the the gargoyle firewall (nothing is blocked outward)im trying to stream with obs in twitch but it seems the router's fire wall or something else from the router is blocking the connection ?

Could be the firewall build into your PC
disable only for a test
ill call my interned provider to come to remove the router and try without it because atm its not possible cause of the mac address anyway im sure ill be able to stream without the router cause i was able to stream back in 2016 with the same internet without router..Lantis wrote:If you dont have a modem, where does your internet come from?
What I'm saying is you should remove Gargoyle from the equation entirely to find out if it really is causing you the issue. Bypass it, remove it, whatever needs to happen.
If the issue is only when Gargoyle is involved, then we can diagnose from there.
Unless you describe your network topology, and how you currently have Gargoyle configured, all people can do is guess.
It also might help to list what troubleshooting steps you have tried.
