Could someone point me to the correct firmware for TP-Link C7 V.2

I tried DD-Wrt but found it too complicated for my taste. So I did a bit of searching and found gargoyle which I believe is less involved and easier to set up. It's just the install I'd like a little help with.
Thanks in advance,
vpalm ;)

You should return your device to OEM firmware first if you tried ddwrt.
Then use the factory firmware from the download link: https://www.gargoyle-router.com/download.php

If you have a US or EU branded device, you should use the appropriate version, otherwise the generic is ok.

Thanks for that Lantis. How does Gargoyle compare to TP-Link's with performance etc. And what happens if I get an 18005.

From my understanding as a rule OEM firmware is almost always faster because its been optimized for the hardware and has less features.

There's not much we can do to assist with 18005 besides the usual suggestions.
If the OEM have put in another method of blocking the firmware, we either discover the new workaround or you're a bit stuck.

Thanks for the replies. I think I might leave it as is then. I'm in the UK by the way.
