TIME WARP bug:Power outage TPLINK Archer C7 V2

After a power outage the router rebooted constantly when connected to WAN. Disconnecting the WAN port solved the rebooting part but left me with no internet.
The modem assigned a fixed IP to the router so I thought that might cause problems. Turns out it didn't but I gave up on the fixed Ip anyway.
So I connected to the router with a cable, restored a previously saved configuration et voila... Back up and running (for the time being).
My question is (just out of curiousity): what caused this problem?

Thanks for the intell, I've changed the title to TIME WARP etc..
What did you mean by "you took a step... "?

Also worth mentioning is that my SMA sunnyboy 3600TL-21 had the same issue, or at least a similar one.
After power outage it rebooted over and over again, never reaching its peak power. Disconnecting the converter from the grid and rebooting solved the issue. It is also connected to the internet so maybe there is is similar issue here.
