My configuration: USB1 = camera, USB2 = printer
Once connected, the camera is running until the USB printer is disconnected. After disconnecting the printer, the Webcam does not work :( . For this to work, the camera must be disconnected and reconnected to the USB port.

The good news is that the camera has started working right? :)

If I had to guess, the OS is reassigning the USB device identifiers when one is unplugged, but I don’t know why it would do that.
I would start my investigation there.

Yes, the Webcam plugin works great - it only stops working after disconnecting the printer or any USB device. I have tried attaching and disconnecting the Flash Drive and the webcam does not work (USB1 = Flash disk, USB2= camera).

I do not know why, but the mjpg_streamer process is killed when disconnected.
If I run it again manually (/etc/init.d/mjpg_streamer start), it all works.

Will not be hotplug? - yes, when I delete the file /etc/hotplug.d/usb/20-mjpg-streamer , so the process exists that the webcam works.

Before disconnecting:

Code: Select all

root@TurrisOmnia:~# ps | grep mjpg_streamer
16725 root 6752 S /usr/bin/mjpg_streamer --input input_uvc.so --device
17021 root 1064 R grep mjpg_streamer
root@TurrisOmnia:~#
After disconnecting:

Code: Select all

root@TurrisOmnia:~# ps | grep mjpg_streamer
-ash: root@TurrisOmnia:~#: not found
root@TurrisOmnia:~#
I write it as a tool to solve the problem.

So the hotplug script is behaving the way it should, it just needs a little adjusting.

I did not mean to say the script was wrong - I wanted to specify the problem. I do not know if you have the chance to try.

+1, ;)
The first "Download" (gargoyle-ispy 2019-March-05 01.7z link) can not click, is that ok?
