Hi. I have been running a Netgear WNDR3700v4 for years on the Gargoyle Management Utility. My software shows Version 1.8.1. I just recently tried to upgrade to 1.10.0 using gargoyle_1.10.0-ar71xx-generic-wndr3700-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin. I downloaded and changed the name to gargoyle.bin. Using a browser and the Management Utility, I pointed to the gargoyle.bin file and clicked on "Upgrade". The pop-up window stated that the upgrade had commenced, but nothing happened. The Version stayed at 1.8.1 when I refreshed the screen many minutes later. Even tried gargoyle_1.10.0-ar71xx-generic-wndr3700v2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin using above process and still failed to get an update. Tried a couple different browsers too, but update didn't work. Any ideas out there? Thank you.

Okay, I got the upgrade to work. I was changing the name of the upgrade file based on the instructions found here: https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/do ... tall_guide.

I guess I technically did not get the upgrade to work. I simply reflashed the firmware to gargoyle_1.10.0-ar71xx-nand-wndr3700v4-ubi-factory.img using tftp2.exe found here: http://www.shadowsoftware.net/shadowgam ... /tftp2.exe. Instructions on the use of tftp2.exe were found here: https://kb.netgear.com/22688/How-to-upl ... using-TFTP. Then I used my previously saved backup router file made within the Gargoyle Management Utility before the reflash to restore my settings.

Router is now running on Version 1.10.0 and looks good. I will try to upgrade now to the gargoyle_1.11.x-ar71xx-generic-wndr3700v2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin found here: http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_1.11.x_rc5/ar71xx/ and suggested by moderator.
