Clients disassociate and cant reassociate

I have bought some smart light bulbs that insist on disconnecting from the router (WRT-32X) after 24-72 hours and then wont reconnect without rebooting the router. I see constant associate/disassociations in the syslog in RC5. I have installed DD-wrt on the router and the problem seems to have gone away - any ideas as to anything I can change in my gargoyle config to fix this?

Are the smart bulbs using the ESP brand wireless chips?

Yes it's the same. Well known issue with this particular wifi chip and that particular wifi chip. I am surprised your devices connect at all? Very interesting.

I think the two options to test are:
1. Disable WMM on your 2.4 ghz interface (which also disables 802.11n) and they should be ok
or
2. Use the third radio in the device (mwifiex driver) which doesn't have this problem, but has a smaller transmit power
I haven't included the mwifiex driver for simplicity at this stage, so you'd need to source it.

Thanks - will have to swap to openwrt and use the other WiFi chip for now.

Interestingly on the second wifi chip the signal is stronger on 2.4 Ghz than the main chip
