Hello,
So currently I have tplink 1043nd V1 !!! with gargoyle 1.6.2.2 (r42647) . I purchased it like that and i was wondering if i could upgrade firmware but I have no idea what options to pick 1.architecture 2.branch 3. version.
Does anyone know maybe ?

Stick with that firmware unless you need new features or other reasons

New firmware needs more powerful CPU, RAM etc

Your version is one of the most stable ever. Next would be 1.10.x

One could argue 1.10.x has better wifi drivers? But if you not have any problems.

That being said, there are security vulnerabilities which have been patched in the later versions.
