I have an archer VR2800 DSL modem/gateway and i am trying to set monthly data quotas as obviously the standard parental control schedule is not working.
Is there any gargoyle firmware for this router? can i request one?

No such firmware exists, and likely never will.
Be aware that most modem/router combo devices are unsupportable by Openwrt, and none are supported by Gargoyle.

You’ll have much more success by finding an already supported router
