I have the same problem with my C7 with this build.

Only the default programs are being installed

Something to do with the build process?

To clarify, what make command are you running?

I'm also using Ubuntu 16.04

What OS do you use?

Ubuntu 18.04
There may be an issue with multi profile builds. I’ll try to investigate.

Thanks for the build! :D

On a tl-wdr4300 v1.6 the packages kmod-usb-net-cdc-ether and usb-modeswitch are missing so when I plug in a Huawei E3372 it is not recognized.

I only get:

Code: Select all

Fri Jun 1 21:11:18 2018 kern.info kernel: [ 481.444080] usb 1-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-platform
In latest 1.10.X build I get this when plugging in the E3372:

Code: Select all

Sat Mar 24 16:00:24 2018 kern.info kernel: [ 613.460000] usb 1-1.2: new high-speed USB device number 5 using ehci-platform

I think i understand what is going wrong with the multi-profile builds. I'm testing now. I'll upload my images when it is done for people to test if they contain everything.

Please find my images here for testing:
http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_custom/ar71xx-1.11.x/

These should now contain the correct packages (i have only tested on a WNDR3800 which is usb_large).

I believe this is what fixed it.
However i also had to put an additional patch in the mix to stop the ar71xx builds from crashing, and i am surprised that you did not encounter it.

I want to know what routers people want to see supported in 1.11.x.
Which routers are we missing from the targets we already support that are popular and you want to see support for? This is relatively easy for me to add. If anyone sends a suggestion for a router with 4MB of flash i'll throw something at them.
ar71xx, brcm47xx, mvebu, ramips

Which targets are popular that aren't already supported and you think should be? This is harder for me to do as i can't test it. But there's some things worth doing as they are popular models.
