TLWDR3600 general issues.

Frankly I'm close to giving up on this one as I've no clue. I had 1.9 running on it for awhile but after some stuttering issues with a device I had connecting to it I found it unresponsive via both ssh and http so I did a tftp recovery and loaded 1.10 which seemed to work for awhile (FYI, during this latest setup I set a cron job for a nightly reboot just to clear it out daily). This morning I went to log in and check something and the http interface is no longer working but luckily ssh is still functioning (reboots did not clear it up). A logread dumps a load of the kern errors:
Fri Dec 29 11:11:34 2017 kern.err kernel: [ 713.900000] SQUASHFS error: Unable to read page, block 5d3076, size a2a4
Fri Dec 29 11:11:34 2017 kern.err kernel: [ 713.910000] SQUASHFS error: Unable to read fragment cache entry [5d3076]
Fri Dec 29 11:11:34 2017 kern.err kernel: [ 713.910000] SQUASHFS error: Unable to read page, block 5d3076, size a2a4
Fri Dec 29 11:11:34 2017 kern.err kernel: [ 713.920000] SQUASHFS error: Unable to read fragment cache entry [5d3076]
The odd thing is that, even in the 1.9 installation, the router seems to still function as an AP. I don't log into this one very often so god knows how long it has been in this state.

We know Gargoyle is stable

maybe hardware fault?

Sounds like bad hardware or a damaged flash sector.
It isn’t a Gargoyle error and not something we can likely fix for you.

Hi I have 2 of these routers and they both run fine. 1 runs as a router and one a dumb AP. Both on 1.10 I am sorry to say that I think you have a bad flash chip. One thing you could try is a different power supply. If that don't help then i am afrade that's a new router for you my friend.

Thanks for what info you could give me.

Does anyone know if I could upgrade from Gargoyle to a dd-wrt build using the sysupgrade cli option? Or do I need to go to the OEM firmware first? Also, could someone verify that the TL-WDR3600 V1 TL-WDR3600_V1_130320.zip at https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl ... k_firmware is the correct OEM file to revert to stock if needed?
