Remote Access - DDNS - Satellite Broadband

I am running Gargoyle to control internet usage in a holiday rental chalet with a Satellite Broadband connection. Because I only have access to the property once a week I have tried to set up remote web access to the router. I have enabled remote access and changed the http and https ports. I have also set up an account with No-ip and tried to set up DDNS. However the router will not let me save the settings (error message that it cannot connect to the server). I also cannot connect using the dynamically assigned IP No (which doesn't seem to change) and port (https://xx.xxx.xx.xx:yyyy/).
I have checked with my ISP and they advise that DDNS (e.g. No-IP) will not work with the Satellite system and I need to upgrade to a static IP No. This would not be a disaster, but it would entail extra monthly costs.
Any ideas for a work-around or do I need to upgrade to static IP?
