Ancient Firmware upgrade 1.5.10

I have a TP Link Router that I purchased from Gargoyle and would like to see if it has some new firmware to upgrade.
it is a TP Link TL-WR1043N/ND v1
gargoyle version 1.5.10
Yes I know it is a million years old.

Hi there,
Your router should be compatible with the latest versions of Gargoyle (1.9.2).
If you upgrade, make sure you don't attempt to preserve your settings.

With the new firmware wifi will be much better.
Anecdotal evidence suggests through put will be reduced. Only a problem on fast internet connections.
Downgrading firmware is easy if required
