Cant reset gargoyle ac1750

End up changing one of my settings and now i cant get back into it. I have my computer set to a static ip ,192.168.1.2. Even using putty to go to telnet 192.168.1.1 it opens the gargoyle screen, but when i type firstboot and nothing happens. What am i doing wrong?

No worries.
It changed a few versions back but Openwrt never updated the banner and info file.
I think it's hidden somewhere on the wiki page.
