Can i use my broadband modem on my home computer? I have a broadband modem that i use on my laptop, can i also use it on my home computer?

Most of the info I wrote in that thread applies here.
Yes, you can, but sometimes the modem locks the MAC address
The MAC is a hardware identifier code that is specific to each
ethernet device, and sometimes the modem remembers that and
will not allow a new one unless it is power-cycled for a specific
amount of time.
You should get a Wired or Wireless router if you plan on having
multiple devices connected at once.
If you need recommendations - let the forum know - lot of the
members here have experience with MULTIPLE routers.
