IP Address issues

So i purchased a TP Archer C7 router and installed Gargoyle 1.9.1. about 2 weeks ago.

I setup the QOS (download), DHCP IP reservations, Quotas for kids and restrictions etc..

for past 2 weeks, it has been working great.
Oh my default gateway was set to 192.168.1.1

Yesterday, my son can't get on network/internet with Iphone. I check and it appears his IP address is not the one i have in the DHCP reservations but 192.168.0.85 or something, instead of the 192.168.1.122 i have in DHCP.

I then notice my anroid phone is similar. I cannot connect to network/internet and the ip address on phone is 192.168.0.94 when in router, i have 192.168.1.203

Then all devices seem to lose connections and all have ip addresses on either Wifi Adapter or Ethernet Adapter(laptops) of 192.168.0.X.

Again the default gateway is set to 192.168.1.1

Anyhow. After fiddiling around and not being able to get correct IP address', i change the default gateway on router to 192.168.0.1.

Now everything is connected again, but quota tracking is all lost etc....

Why would this happen? I tried then setting back to 192.168.1.1 and again would not work.

Do you have 2 DHCP servers on the one network?

e.g. have you pluged the cables in wrong?

are you using application (layer 7) protocols in any of your QOS/restrictions? If so this doesn't work - when I have set it by mistake it does weird and wonderful things to the network settings after a certain time.

No, i don't have 2 DHCP servers. What else would have a DHCP server? Just the one router.

I had turned of QOS as a test to see if that would fix it. It did not. The only thing i had for QOS were certain IP addresses assigned more priority.

The same issue happened last night. All of a sudden all my devices are being issued incorrect IP addresses. NOt consistent with the DHCP reservations on router

It sounds like 2 DHCP servers honestly.
Devices don't just change subnets for no reason.

Can you draw/describe your current network config?

I have one router:

TP Archer C7 with a Dlink Repeater plugged in.

I have:

7 Phones (4 Iphone, 3 android) set in DHCP reservations
3 Laptops
3 Ipads
2 Xbox
1 Playstation
3 TV's (samsung, 2 Panasonic)
1 IP Phone connected to Router

Where else could there be a DHCP server? The Playstation? (i'm not even sure it has been plugged in or turned on in the past week)

Its just a stab in the dark

TP Archer C7 and Dlink Repeater could both have DHCP servers activated

Agreed.
Also, how do you get internet?
You have a modem? This could also do it depending on network topology.

my D-Link DAP-1520 i don't believe has any DHCP server functionality

I just changed the DHCP LAN Range to 192.168.0.2 - .100

All my devices have a DHCP static assign outside this range and now all seem to work.
