Is it possible to replace Gargoyle with some another free firware. I think about the situation where original firmware was already replaced by Gargoyle.

Gargoyle is very good, I just want to know for testing purposes.

depends what you want to change to.
Openwrt/LEDE? Just sysupgrade without preserving settings.
DD-WRT? It's possible i just don't know the process off the top of my head.
Anything else? Google switching from Openwrt to xxxxxx firmware. It will be the same as gargoyle.
