Help Picking a Router

Hello, could I please get advice on purchasing a router for my particular use case? My company uses routers running Gargoyle on small-business customer networks to help them control usage at sites with low-bandwidth Internet connections. (E.g., 5 people in an office trying to work off a 1Mbps connection.) The Gargoyle router usual handles all the WiFi for the office as well.

I don't purchase from the Gargoyle shop because it is more cost-effective to purchase separately and load the software myself, though I do make donations to the Gargoyle project. We don't need a very fancy router; wireless N is enough, and certainly 300Mbps is plenty. Of course, I definitely want a stable router, i.e., reliable electronics.

What we have been doing is buying the TP-LINK TL-1043ND v3 routers off Amazon, as they are quite economical. However, I am wondering if I should consider another model. I personally haven't had any trouble with the TL-1043ND, but I've heard reports from others of unstable connections. I'm also seeing other TP-LINK routers that appear to be newer for less cost. In addition, sometime sellers are a bit vague about whether you are purchasing a TL-1043ND or a TL-1043N, and there are three different versions of the TL-1043-ND, not always specified.
