I currently have a TL-WR841N V9, and I was wondering if upgrading to a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND V2 would be worth it?

WR1043ND V2 is also coming to the end of life.

It depends on your internet speeds

10 Mbps up and down, it would be just fine

over 100 Mbps you need to find the most powerful router you can find and even then it sill might not be fast enough.

I'd look at a Negear WNDR3800, I picked one up for $25 shipped on ebay and keep it as a backup/testing device. I think the Archer C7s are all taken care of also and this would be a solid router too.
