TPlink AC1750 strange issue

Hello,
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but hopefully someone can help.
I flashed a TP-Link AC1750 ver 2 with the correct Gargoyle firmware and following the flash, could get into the router, view the menus etc etc. I then (probably stupidly) imported the config from the old Gargoyle router, could see all the settings had come across and rebooted, now cant access.
The strange thing is, during the reboot, the router ip becomes available then after about 10 seconds, then dissapears and then nothing. Tried hard reset and the same result, are we bricked or is there a way out? Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Wondering if there is any way to reflash the unit not using the Lan ports but USB?

I got stuck in a reboot loop on my Archer C7 V2 using Gargoyle 9.2 and had a hard time reverting to stock. I was able to using the instructions on this page. http://www.friedzombie.com/tplink-stripped-firmware/

Then I used TP link version 150427 to get back to stock.
There is no visual verification the revert works other then watching for the router to reboot after about 5 minutes, Then I was able to log into 192.168.0.1 and load 150427.

Give Gargoyle another try, it's definitely worth it. Have you tried the QoS ? It's freakin' awesome.. 8-)

Yeah finally got this solved by running a TFTP server from the laptop with the router v2 stock image.
Plug the lan cable into lan1 port, set the nic on the laptop to 192.168.0.66, boot router holding the WPS/reset button and the file gets transferred.
Reboot router as stock TP-link then reflash with Gargoyle but dont import the config. Is now working well and is unbricked.
