Is it possible to setup the DNS Server to hand out addressees on a different subnet to that of the routers IP.

Example: Router IP 192.168.1.1

DNS addresses 192.168.10.50 to 192.168.10.100

The reason I ask is my old Gigaset SX762 allows it, its handy in my case keeping the Network Infrastructure on a different subnet from the servers and general PC's on another.

Your old modem isn't technically allowing you to distribute on different subnets.
The subnet 255.0.0.0 is just very large.

So can you make gargoyle do that?
I'm pretty sure you can. And if it is not easily possible from the GUI, it is almost certainly possible from the CLI.

Note, that some features may not operate as expected when doing these types of configuration.
