Backing up QoS config

Is "/etc/config/qos_gargoyle" sufficient or do any other files also matter to the configuration?

"/etc/qos_class_marks" only has 4 generic-looking lines in it, so it may or may not matter.

I'm just looking for a way to avoid re-configuring QoS on a clean-install.

The one config file is sufficient. The marks file is generated for reference by the system.
You'll need to apply the restored config as well of course to do all of the firewall initialisation etc.

OK, thanks, that's very good to know, as reconfiguring that section takes me about as long as everything else combined.
