I just bought a Linksys WRT1900ACS with the intention of flashing Gargoyle so I can use it to monitor and control bandwidth with a houseful of Bandwidth hogs.
I have studied the forums for a few hours and made several searches but cannot decide which architecture type this router is?
Actually if anyone can point me to the download links for the latest stable files for me to flash would be a great help!

This is the latest experimental code, which includes the latest drivers for your device.

Your architecture is called "mvebu".
See this wiki page
https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/linksys/wrt1x00ac_series
From the supported hardware table, your model is referred to as "Shelby"

When a new version comes out you will use the sysupgrade file.
Factory is for getting from Factory Firmware to Gargoyle
Sysupgrade is for getting from Gargoyle to Gargoyle
