Too mutch?

Hi, I'm running 1.3.9 on a asus WL-520GU. As a router it runs great!
I live with 5 people and we recently have been going over the cap. So I've implemented static ip's, restriction and quota's. And I've been monitoring to see how its all working. Here is what I've noticed.

Restriction doesn't seem to work. It does for a while after a reboot but then allows foreign ip's to go online( the friends).

Quota's work great for the first few hours but then some will disappear from the "quota usage" page. I'm not sure if they are just not displayed or forgotten completely.

Some additional info: 12 static ip's and 6 quotas.

Could it be that my router can't handle this load?

Thanks

Your WL-520GU is a broadcom chipset router with 16Meg RAM and 4Meg flash I think.

That makes it susceptible to running out of memory. It may be that it is crashing and rebooting without you noticing. There is an uptime field on the status page. Is it correct given the last time your intentionally rebooted?

If there is evidence that it is crashing my advice would be to turn off QoS and lower your connection limit to 1024. If that resoives the problem then you can try turning QoS back on.

The other idea is to get a better router.
