New in 1.3.9:
  • Wake on Lan (WoL) Functionality in Connection/DHCP section for hosts with static IPs (thanks to artekw)
  • Reset button now works to restore defaults on TP-link routers and WRT160NL if pressed for at least 3 seconds
  • QSS button on TP-Link routers, and arrow button on WRT160NL now functions as reboot button if pressed for at least 3 seconds
  • Option in System/Access limits number of remote SSH login attempts in a 5 minute period to prevent brute force password attacks
  • Fixes several issues with PPPoE, in particular with bandwidth monitor functionality on AR71XX routers by eliminating race conditions
  • Fixes wireless N with 40Mhz channel-width when using highest wireless channel (by setting HT40- instead of HT40+)

Great work here Eric. Checked the HT+/- issue and all is working fine. Wireless will come up on my WNDR3700 now, even if it goes back to showing disabled after I changed the page. At least the router isn't crashing, so it's in a much, much better (and more usable) state than it was. It even remembers the settings so all I have to do to change them is change to "access point" from disabled, make my changes and press save. Impressed. All my settings restored properly too. At some point in future, it might be nice to back up the data logging for usage etc. as part of the saving of the config...but whenever you get around to it...it's not as important as a lot of other issues right now :-).

Edit: Not seeing the new WOL stuff on the DHCP page. Am I doing something wrong?

Oh, just one more thing. On the OpenWRT page for the WNDR3700, there is a package for the light colours on the router (so they match what is written on the bottom for 1Gbps or 10/100Mbps connections). Could we perhaps get this included in the build for this router?

Package is called kmod-leds-wndr3700-usb.

Works fine on my end (DIR-825)!

I was expecting however to see the usb port options added for this router on this release!!? But it was not specified on the release notes, hmm.

http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 4732#p4732

Also, this was not mentioned on release notes so I was not expecting this to be fixed but still worth mentioning again: In the overview page, the wireless always shows as "disabled" (even tho it is enabled as my laptop can connect wirelessly). In connection -> basic, the wireless mode also defaults to "disabled" even after having it configured. Selecting "Access point" (as im set as an AP), will then show all the configs properly (ssid, encryption, channel etc etc). So the problem seems to be only at the "Wireless mode" configuration, which doesn't seem to be able to read the actual configuration and only displays "disabled".

Finally, do you plan on supporting dual band wireless? The DIR-825 can transmit on both 2.4 and 5ghz at the same time. So far I have access to only one transmitter.

Thanks again for your work on gargoyle, top notch!!

Not displayed on my end. Is this a feature for specific routers?

I tested on ar71xx (roiuterstation pro). What router you have and architecture ?

Edit: on Motorola WR850(brcm-2.4) works too with images from download.
